Spay-A-Stray Project

Spay-A-Stray Project

The Animal Pad; Baja California Spay Neuter Foundation; Friends of Human Services Tijuana

Stray, feral, and roaming companion animals pose serious environmental and health challenges worldwide. In response, the Spay-A-Stray Project is tackling the companion animal crisis in Baja California, Mexico, by offering free spaying, neutering, vaccinations, and flea/tick prevention clinics in underserved communities such as Tijuana, Rosarito, and Ensenada. These services aim to curb unwanted births and improve public health.

Through partnerships with local organizations and veterinarians, the project will provide accessible, centrally located clinics for urban pet owners and mobile clinics for those in remote areas. Additionally, local rescuers will receive essential support, and a growing educational initiative will help raise community awareness about responsible pet care and humane practices.
